JOHNSON, George (“Bo”) Paul, Jr., 90, died peacefully on October 27, 2020.  He was born on May 7, 1930 in Newark, New Jersey.  George was predeceased by his wife of 37 years, Jeanne S. Johnson; parents, George and Edith Johnson; sister, Carol Pearce; and brother, J. William Johnson.

George is survived by his son, Martin; daughter Linda Adams and her husband, Walt; two grandchildren, Kit Leininger and her husband, Peter, and Kevin Paul Johnson; two great-grandsons, Jack, and Ben; two daughters-in-law; and six nieces.

George was a self-made man of courage, generosity, savvy, and hard work.  He was President of Virginia Marketing Associates for 25 years and was a principled leader and partner to all he worked with.

Always curious and in search of adventure, George took many trips to Asia and Europe.  He cherished his family and, in recent months due to COVID, enjoyed visiting with family via Zoom calls—especially the “little guys”, his great-grandsons.

George had a tender spot for animals, especially his constant companion dogs, Chollo and Rusty.  Given his love for animals, memorial donations are requested for The Samuel Fund, Hope for Life Rescue, Inc., 610 Jack Rabbit Rd., Ste #1, Virginia Beach, VA  23451.  The Samuel Fund is an emergency fund for the treatment of severely injured animals.
