Virginia Beach- Gerald Hall, 90, passed peacefully in Virginia Beach, VA on September 14, 2019. Born in New York and raised in New Jersey, Gerald was the son of the late Harry Hall and the late Cora Hall. After graduating from Glen Rock High School in 1947, he attended Stevens Institute of Technology and graduated in 1951.  Gerald served 2 years of service in the United States Army and then began a 36-year career as an engineer for General Electric’s Aerospace program. Upon retirement, he moved to the gulf coast of Florida and then relocated in 2013 to Virginia Beach, VA.

Gerald enjoyed classical music, travelling and everything related to space exploration.

He is survived by brother, David (Doris); seven children, William, Peter, John, Richard, Barbara, Michael (Carol) and Nicole; and granddaughters, Corinne and Meredith.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the exceptional care given by Compassionate Care Hospice and the staff at The Gardens of Virginia Beach.

Per his wishes, there will be no funeral service. A Celebration of Life gathering will occur at a later date in Pennsylvania. Condolences may be offered at vacremationsociety.com.  Friends of Gerald are invited to join his family at a Celebration of his Life on Sunday, November 3 from 1:00-3:00 pm at Columbia Station, 4 Bridge Street, Phoenixville, PA.  A lite lunch buffet will be served.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
