Glenn Atlee Miano, 71, of Newport News, VA passed away on February 24, 2023 after a brief illness at the V.A. Medical Center. He was born in Newport News, VA on October 29, 1951 to Charles and Florence (Harris) Miano. Glenn enlisted in the U.S. Army from 1972-1975, and then spent much of his life working as a car mechanic, or in residential construction. Later in life, his past military service gave him the opportunity to work as a Veterans Transitional House Manager, which he did up until his illness. In his early adult life, Glenn was part of a bowling league and assisted his brother with racing cars. He had a lifelong enjoyment of classic rock and cars, as well as watching sports and movies; but most importantly, he was a faithful Christian, and loving father.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Florence Miano; his sister, Charlene ‘Charlie’ Miano; and his brother, Joseph ‘Ronnie’ Miano. Left to cherish his memory are members of his immediate family, which include his son, Jonathan Miano and his girlfriend Kelly K. of Williamsburg, VA; his daughter, Annabella Miano of Norfolk, VA; and his 3 grandchildren, Christian, Kira, and Jina; as well as members of his extended family and friends. He will also be dearly missed by the people he worked with at LINK of Hampton Roads.
