My sympathies to Chief Diezel's family....I was a VB 911 officer from 74-01 and very much enjoyed working with Chief Diezel, he was a very nice person and ya could always count on him to be fair and to lend a hand if needed. He will be greatly missed.

City councilman, Mr. Diezel was instrumental in getting us the funding we needed to have the banks of two ponds stabilized on the Kempsville Greens Golf Course. We had been trying for 10 years to have the city address this matter as our properties were being threatened. He came, he saw and he fixed. The Kempsville Greens Civic League and especially the homeowners affected salute him as the great public servant he was. Godspeed.
