Continue ReadingChesapeake ~ Helene Lake Pate, 88, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, beginning her Heavenly life and joining her husband Willard Ross Pate, Sr.; her parents Norris and Alma Lake; her older sister Tillie Colyer; and her brother Norris Lake Jr.
Helene was a Tidewater resident for most of her life, and she worked as an Executive Secretary and Customer Service Supervisor at Willis Wayside Furniture Company for 30 years.
Helene’s greatest joy was being a loving mother to her three children who survive her, Ross (Christine) Pate, David (Jill) Pate and Valerie (Bill) Rauh. Also left to cherish her memory are her four grandsons: Tyler and Michael Pate; William Rauh, III (Trey) and Daniel Rauh. She is also survived by her twin sister, Alma Lake Crovatt and Alma’s four daughters.
The family will have a private ceremony celebrating Helene’s life at a later date.
The Cremation Society of Virginia is assisting the family.
