Jacob Brian Gorman, 20, passed away in Virginia Beach, Virginia, on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. Jacob was born on June 10, 2001, in La Crosse, Wisconsin and moved to Virginia with his family at the age of 3.
Jacob was a proud Eagle Scout. He graduated from the Landstown High School STEM and Technology Academy in June of 2019 and served 7 months in the US Navy shortly after graduation. Upon his return to civilian life, Jacob purchased his own condo at the age of 19 while working as a line manufacturer at STIHL, Inc. and was praised as a hard worker.
Jacob’s fondest memories were with his lifelong friends from Boy Scout Troop #417. Some of his notable adventures included a White House tour, years of summer camps, and miles and miles of hiking on the Appalachian Trail.
Jacob is survived by his parents Rick and Sherri Gorman, brothers, Samuel Gorman, 18, and Elijah Gorman, 9, and his half-siblings Kristin Christianson, 35, of Grand Forks, ND, Kaylin Terpening, 32, of Galesburg, IL, and Isaiah Fitzmaurice, 28, of La Crosse, WI, as well as one cousin, one nephew, and two nieces.
Funeral services and mass will be held at St. Mark Catholic Church, 1505 Kempsville Road, Virginia Beach, 23464, on Thursday, November 18th, at 7PM. Committal will follow the mass in the St. Mark Columbarium. A reception will follow in the St. Mark Social Hall.
