James Muir, 68, of Virginia Beach passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025.  Born on January 30, 1957 in Cumberland, Maryland.  Son of James Muir in Lonaconing, Maryland and he was preceded in death by his mother, Elaine Muir and brother, Dan.

James is survived by his wife, Cheryl of 49 years, one son, James Muir, Jr. and his wife, Kniesha and 2 grandchildren, Jay and Carter from Shawnee, Kansas.  He is also survived by his brothers and sisters and many loving family members.  Jim was retired from the US Navy and Stihl, Inc. of Virginia Beach.  In his spare time he enjoyed watching his favorite sports teams.  He loved the Pittsburgh Steelers in football and watching both the NY Yankees and the Baltimore Orioles baseball teams play.  For the time being, services are private.  Please post your fondest condolences to the family during this difficult time on the Cremation Society of Virginia website.
