James Michael “Beau” Witchey passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on November 23, 2025, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, at the age of 65. He was born on July 19, 1960 in Bethesda, Maryland to the late Catherine and James Witchey. Also preceding him in death was his brother, Rodger Witchey.

Beau spent over 40 years working diligently in property management as a maintenance superintendent. His commitment to his work was matched only by his devotion to his family and his love for the great outdoors. Beau had a profound passion for hunting and fishing, pursuits that brought him immense joy and serenity throughout his life.

Above all, Beau cherished the time he spent with his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Denise Witchey; children: Jason Crispin, Jamie Crispin, Wendy Hendershot (Wynston), and Amber Witchey (Jed); grandchildren: Rayanne, Cailyn, Mason, Jasmine, Anthony, Emma, James, Madelyn, Kirra, and Morgan; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Tari Grier and Donna Witchey; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever hold him dear in their hearts.

A celebration of Beau’s life will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2025 at Thalia United Methodist Church located at 4321 Virginia Beach Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA 23452.
