Chesapeake- James Robert Mellard II “Jamie”, 34, passed away October 21, 2018. Survivors include his parents- LaDonnis Herzog (Jim) and James Mellard (Cindy); siblings Samaria, Bradley, Jimmy, Carissa, and Sarah; & other family and friends.
He graduated From Princess Anne High School in 2002, and was a member of the Fabulous Marching Cavaliers Band. James played Semi-pro paintball, he was a drone pilot and a videographer. He was employed by Mitsubishi Chemical Composites America, Inc since the spring of 2016 as a Lamination Line Production Operator.
A celebration of life service will be held Friday, November 2, 2018 at 3:00pm at the Little Creek Base Chapel off of Shore Drive and Independence, Gate 5, 1240 Gator Blvd Virginia Beach VA 23460. SEE NOTE BELOW FOR BASE ACCESS

Those who do not get it submitted can go to the Lake Shores Plaza on Shore Drive- Food Lion parking lot, 5193 Shore drive at 2pm on Friday November 2nd and park their vehicle and a Military Escort will bring them to the Chapel. No hand guns or concealed weapons are allowed on Little Creek Naval Base.

South Carolina Service- A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 10 at Freedom Church, 1425 Cypress Garden Rd. Moncks Corner SC. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:30 with a service at 2:30. In lieu of flowers a contribution to a charity of your choice maybe sent.
