Chesapeake, VA  –  Janice Evelyn Poster, born on June 23, 1945, in New York, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026, in Chesapeake, Virginia, at the age of 80.

Janice was a devoted mother, grandmother and cherished friend who dedicated her life to her family and her faith. She spent many years working as a retail worker at Goodwill, where she was known for her kindness and dedication. Her spiritual journey as a Catholic was a cornerstone of her life, providing her with strength and guidance.

Janice was preceded in death by her beloved parents, William and Laura Messina. She is survived by her three sons, her grandchildren, and several other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

A private family service will be held to honor her memory. The Cremation Society of Virginia, Chesapeake Office, is assisting the family during this difficult time.
