Jeanmarie Delosky, age 85 of Virginia Beach, and formerly of Hamlin and Lake Ariel, PA died Saturday July 2nd at home, surrounded by her family. Samuel Delosky, her high school sweetheart and husband of 63 years survives her. Born in Olyphant, PA she was the daughter of the late Rosemary McMahon McCarthy and James McCarthy. She graduated from Olyphant High School, and Felt and Tarrant Comptometer School. She was employed by the A&P Tea Company in Scranton and later was the dry goods manager at Shaffer’s EZ Shop in Hamlin. She was a parishioner of St. Patrick’s Church, Olyphant, St. Thomas More, Lake Ariel, and later the Cathedral of St. Peter in Scranton. She enjoyed traveling, reading, sewing, and being with her family.
Also surviving are her three daughters, Tamra Zeiler and husband Timothy of Virginia Beach, Nancy Roy and husband Steven of Canadensis, Rosanne Clauss and husband Timothy, of Lake Ariel, and eight grandchildren, Thomas Zeiler and wife Robynn, T. J. Zeiler and fiancée Stephanie Maness, and Torrance Zeiler and wife Melody, all of Virginia Beach; Maggie Clauss of Damascus, Ellen Clauss and husband Jacob Kuntz of Park City, UT, Elizabeth Roy and John Roy, both of Canadensis, and Kristina Roy of Atlanta, GA. She is also survived by her sister Katherine James of Peckville. She was preceded in death by a brother PJ McCarthy.
Arrangements by the Cremation Society of Virginia. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
