Jessie retired from the Chesapeake Police Department in 2015 after 37 years of dedicated service. He is survived by his son, J. Robert Gay III, and his daughter, Danielle Gay. Jessie will be remembered for his devotion to family, his commitment to service, and his love of chatting with anyone and everyone.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of his life on his birthday, Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Lake Drummond Masonic Lodge in the Deep Creek section of Chesapeake.
