Virginia Beach ~ Monday May 6th Jo-Ann B. Raber, age 70, was called to heaven. Born on April 27 1949 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada to the now deceased, Percy and Nita Bradford. She is survived by a brother, Jerry Bradford of Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, Canada. She was predeceased by a brother, Harvey Bradford.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce A. Raber of Virginia Beach  She was a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Dallas, Dallas, Texas. She married Bruce in May 1971. They had no children but plenty of nieces and nephews. She was a very active member of Thalia United Methodist Church, in Virginia Beach. She worked for 25 years as the secretary of Princess Anne Plaza, U. M. C. Jo-Ann was  a master quilter and known through out the area.

A celebration of life will be held at Thalia U.M.C. on Thursday May 16th at 4p.m.. The Rev. Joe Warner will lead the service along with The Rev. Beth Anderson. A reception  will follow in the large hall of Thalia Church.
