Left to cherish her memory are her children: David Wanersten (Karen), Rick Wanersten (Marie), and Debra Barger (Christian); grandchildren: Matthew, Zachary, Meredith, Elizabeth, and Sophie; and six great-grandchildren.
Joan was a very devoted wife and mother. Her family was the most important thing in her life and she loved spending time with them. She prayed often and was strong in her faith. Joan enjoyed taking care of her plants and flowers. She was known for her love of the color pink and always had a cup of coffee in her hand. She was a loving and beautiful person inside and out.
Joan will be laid to rest at Princess Anne Memorial Park. Services will be private.
