A woman of faith, Joan dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker, creating a warm and loving home. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, John Schumph and Clara Aucoin Schumph, and her devoted husband, Ernest Dore Couture, Jr.
She is survived by her cherished children, son Tim Couture of Virginia Beach, VA, and daughter Tina Marie Couture of Avila Beach, CA, along with several other family members who will miss her dearly.
A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor Joan’s memory. The Cremation Society of Virginia, Chesapeake Office, is assisting the family during this difficult time.
