Barnes family - I am so sorry to hear that Mr. Barnes has passed. I was in high school when I first met him over twenty years ago. Over the course of just a few trips to OBX with his family he taught me about carpentry, football, hunting and got me started reading Clancy novels. All things I am still interested in or do today. He referred to me as “easy money” (lol) and took the time to explain the intricacies of carpentry and construction to me while working on an addition to his home. While my experiences with Mr. Barnes were few in number, the knowledge he shared is still with me and the rapport we had while working together was very memorable. For this I will always be grateful. Rest in Peace, Mr. Barnes. -Brandon (Easy Money)

I was so sorry to hear of Me Barnes passing, when my mother and I first met the two of you during a meal at Willow Creek. We were discussing an issue with our car. Mr Barnes offered to give me a ride and his phone number to assist a neighbor in need. You both seemed like old friends that we just met. Both of you were always helping the other and happy. God bless you Mrs Joan and your entire family. I will keep in touch Patricia. Please read this poem-- "Miss Me, But Let Me Go" By Christina Rossetti

Bill & I are so sorry to hear about John’s passing. He was an incredible man and he will be truly missed. My first encounter with John was when I bought my home in OBX and he said “so your the damn Yankee that bought the home!” And that day forward was a Friendship that I will always treasure. I know his Soul is flying through the skies! God Bless you are Dear Friend. Deborah & Bill
