John Paul Genesevich, Jr. died peacefully on December 17, 2021. Jack was born January 28, 1939 in Hazelton, Pennsylvania.
Jack was predeceased by his father, John Paul Genesevich and his mother, Anne Fisher Genesevich. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Victoria Coven Gensevich, Norfolk, VA, son, Scott Genesevich (Genevive), grandsons Camden and Ford,Framingham, MA, daughter, Lorraine Davis (Greg), Melbourne, FL, and eldest son, John Paul Genesevich III, and grandsons Joshua and Jared.
At the age of 18, Jack joined the US Navy. His first assignment was in the Embassy in England, and he later served in tours in Germany, Cuba and Morocco in which he specialized in intelligence. After serving his country for 25 years, Jack retired from the Navy and joined Langley Airforce Base as a targeting analyst for intelligence, working another 25 years before officially retiring.
It has been said for years, “Everyone loves Jack”. His warmth, wit, kindness, and generosity are just a few of Jack’s admirable and loved traits. Jack epitomized, “He never met a stranger”. Jack welcomed all graciously into his home and heart. Jack also enjoyed golf, the beach and always had a special fondness for animals. He was dearly devoted to his wife, Vici, children and grandchildren. When he went on his mystery tours with the Navy, Lorraine said, “I may not know where Dad is, but he always came home with a gift from afar”.
Family, neighbors and friends will most certainly miss Jack, but his gentle, funny, loving spirit will always be in our hearts. Jack was a true gentleman in every sense.
