Joy Ann Jenkins, born on October 31, 1953, in Oceanside, California, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2026, in Williamsburg, Virginia, at the age of 72.
Joy was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of many with her warmth and kindness. After a fulfilling career, she enjoyed her retirement years residing in Surfside Beach, South Carolina, where she embraced her passions for crafting and cherished vacations with her family. Her love for her dogs was evident to all who knew her, as they were constant companions in her life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Letitia Jenkins; her brother, Dale Jenkins; her sister, Linda Higbee; and her niece, Heather Taylor Bess.
Joy leaves behind a loving family who will forever hold her memory dear. She is survived by her son, Christian Hall, and his wife, Melissa; her daughter, Bridgette Price; and her granddaughters, Amber Hall and Shannon Hall. She is also survived by her sister, Cecilia Taylor, and her husband, Bill; her niece, Jeannine Taylor; her nephews, Will Taylor and Kevin Higbee.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor Joy’s memory and the joy she brought into the lives of those around her. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the South Carolina SPCA.
Joy Ann Jenkins will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her creativity, and the love she shared with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
