Sunrise: May 6, 1951~Sunset: September 15, 2021.

Julia was predeceased by her mother, Pinkie Givens-Hughe;, stepfather, Sunny Hughes, as well as her father Oscar Givens. She is also predeceased by brother, Roy Givens.

She is survived by her children, Diretta (David) Glover, Ronald (Angelic) Givens and Alicia Givens. She is also survived by eight grandchildren as well as seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Oscar Givens, Jr., James Givens, Carolyn Givens-Clanton, Donna Golden, Ernestine Givens and Cecil Givens as well as a host of nephews and nieces.

Julia’s Celebration of Life memorial service will be on Wednesday, September 22nd at Greater Work Church of Christ, 1711 Madison Avenue, Newport News, VA 23607. The service will begin at 1:00pm. The repast will follow at Deeper Life World Ministries, 2700 Build America Drive, Hampton, VA 23666.
