Hampton-Kathy Jean (Hunt) Jenkins, 61, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2021. She was born in Rocky Mount, NC to William “Norris” and Chrystal “Faye” Hunt. Kathy grew up in Hampton and graduated from Kecoughtan High School (1979).

Kathy worked many places throughout the years including 7-11, Woodcraft, Bert’s Flower Shop, Embassy Suites, The Blind Factory and JC Penny’s.

Kathy shared the last 15 years of her life with her best friend, Tom Sharp. They enjoyed sharing time together, visiting friends, playing pool, listening to music, playing Scrabble, scratching lottery tickets, and playing POGO on the computer.

Kathy was preceded in death by her mother and sister, Gail Adams.  She is survived by her father and her brother, William “Sonny” (Joanna) Hunt.

She loved her doggies Duke, Daisy, and Prissy.

A small Memorial Service was held on November 13, 2021. Donations may be given in her memory to your favorite charity.
