Hampton – Larry Danny Dorsey, 63, went home to be with his savior and Lord on April 2, 2019. Larry was born on August 18, 1955 in Georgia and moved to Hampton VA with his family as a child.

Larry was a master at renovating homes, hotels and other businesses. He loved fishing, tinkering in his workshop and spoiling his beloved dogs.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Willa Mae and Julian Spearman Dorsey, Sr. and brothers, Chris, Steve, Calvin, Wayne and Marvin Dorsey.

Left to cherish his memory is the love of his life for 38 years, Mary McNish; his daughter, Melissa step-daughter, Angela Bailey; 5 grand-daughters, Breanna, Gabrielle, Taylor, Morgan and Ashley; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, Julian , Arnold, Spencer and sisters, Judy Willis, Rosalee Hodges and Evelyn Dorsey.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the many healthcare professionals that worked so hard, going above and beyond, showing compassion and giving hope during a very difficult time.

Funeral services will be private.

Cremation Society of Virginia-Newport News assisted with arrangements.
