It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Larry Wayne Salyers, who left us on December 26, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on April 15, 1962, in Chicago, IL, Larry spent his final days in Elizabeth City, NC, where he peacefully departed surrounded by love.

Larry was a dedicated and skilled machinist at Hoffer Flow Controls, where he poured his heart and soul into his work. His colleagues knew him as a man of integrity and precision, who took pride in his craft and inspired those around him with his unwavering dedication. Beyond his professional life, Larry was a proud holder of an Associate’s degree and was a loving father to his son, Matthew Salyers. In every role he took on, whether at work or at home, Larry demonstrated a profound commitment to nurturing and supporting those he cared for.

His interests were as diverse as they were passionate. Larry found joy in bowling, fishing, and football, and had an insatiable curiosity for anything related to history. He was also an avid reader, constantly seeking to expand his knowledge and understanding of the world around him.

Larry is preceded in death by his beloved parents, JB and Ellveyn Salyers, and his cherished wife, Beverly Timberlake. His legacy of love, strength, and perseverance lives on in his surviving family and friends, especially his son, Matthew. His enduring spirit will be remembered as a guiding light for those who had the privilege to know him.
