On the morning of August 27, 2024, Lawrence “Larry” William Kozoyed passed away peacefully at his home in Chesapeake VA. Larry was 84 years old.

Larry was born to James and Anne Kozoyed in 1940. He served with distinction as an Engineering Duty Officer in the United States Navy for 22 years. In January 1961, he married Joyce Kozoyed, and together raised four children, Larry Jr., Laura, Charles and David. Joyce passed away peacefully in 2006. In January 2020, he married Louisette Kozoyed, who together created a loving home away from home for traveling registered nurses.

Besides engineering, writing, singing, cooking, and hosting others, Larry was an active and adventurous member of his community and spent a lot of time volunteering as a mentor to others in various spiritual, charitable and meaningful enterprises.

Larry is preceded in death by his father James, his mother Anne, and his first wife Joyce. He is survived by his wife Louisette, his 6 children Larry Jr., Laura, Charles, David, Feeling and Daniel, his 8 grandchildren Nicholas, Madison, Katelyn, Alexandra, Chad, Cassie, Kyana, and Shanell, his brothers Joseph, James, and John, and his sister Carol.

A public visitation will be held at 4 pm followed by a Catholic funeral mass service and reception at 5pm on September 10th, 2024, at Saint Therese Church in Chesapeake VA.

Interment will be private and take place at another time.
