My beautiful wife took Jesus’ hand into eternal life on July 18, 2021. Born on October 21, 1955. She had a great love for family and friends and was a loving mother and true believer of God.

Leslie was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Joann Tucker, and her granddaughter, Joann Burduja.

She is survived by her husband, Ted, children, Helon Evans, Emmaline “Holly” Burduja (Tianu), John Gayk, and David Gayk, and grandchildren, Tianu and Theodora Burduja. She is also survived by her siblings, Robert Tucker (Cindy) and Jane Price (Doug), stepmother, Marsha Tucker, stepsiblings, Don Taylor (Martha) and Tiffany Stroud (Ralph), numerous nieces and nephews, and countless close friends.

Leslie will be remembered for her fighting spirit, infectious laughter, genuine kindness, and silly antics. The family would like to thank Dr. Chang and his staff at Virginia Oncology for their many years of love and support.

A service in celebration of Leslie’s life and the Resurrection will be held at Yorkminster Presbyterian Church on Saturday, July 31 at 10:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Yorkminster Presbyterian Church.

Cremation Society of Virginia-Newport News assisted the family with arrangements.
