Continue ReadingLeto Virgo (DeMarco) Steinbach departed this life on November 20, 2019, after a long illness. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, John M. Steinbach; her daughter Clarissa M. (Steinbach) Constantine (Joe); her sister Aleta DeMarco; and numerous cousins.
A life-long love of classical music led her to attain a Bachelor’s of Music in Music Education from the University of Miami, where she was initiated into Sigma Alpha Iota on January 6, 1968. After graduation, she enjoyed playing with many community groups throughout South Florida and Southeast Virginia, including the York River Symphony, Symphonicity (the symphony orchestra of Virginia Beach), and the string trio she founded, “Sine Nomine.”
A remembrance of her life will take place on December 7, 2019, at 12:00 noon at Unity Williamsburg, 624 Queens Creek Road, Williamsburg, VA. Casual attire preferred.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sigma Alpha Iota Philanthropies.
Cremation Society of Virginia-Newport News assisted the family with arrangements.
