Linda Jo Jackson, age 73, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 5, 2024. A long-time resident of Ford’s Colony in Williamsburg, VA, she was born in Santa Monica, CA, on September 26, 1950, to Horace and Vinnie Lupton. As a child she lived in many places, moving frequently due to her father’s job with Westinghouse. She married Donald Aschbrenner and had a daughter, Jennifer, who now lives in Westminster, MD, with her husband Paul and their two children, Taylor and Tucker.
After graduating from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Linda worked in banking for a few years before becoming a paralegal in Fairfax, VA. She remarried in 1983, to Richard Jackson of Fairfax, VA. While Linda had many hobbies, the primary two were sailing with Richard in the Caribbean & Chesapeake Bay and golf. She was a member of Ford’s Colony Country Club and served as president and tournament director of the Ladies Golf Association, making many life-long friends there.
Linda is survived by her husband, Richard; her daughter, Jennifer (Paul) and their two children; her stepdaughter, Suzanne (Doug) and their two children; her sisters, Sherry (Rick) and their two children, and Gail (Brian) and their three children.
