


Linda Williams Crandol, 75, of Hampton VA passed away on April 25, 2023. Linda was born on October 16, 1947, in Greensboro, NC to Esther (Polly) and Aubrey Williams. She attended Newport News High School and later worked in the optical field for many years at various places. She was also briefly employed by an oral surgeon, and she was always great with patients and customers.Linda was a kind, caring, and gentle person who would help anyone in need. She was a good listener and very understanding. She enjoyed collecting dolls and jewelry, and she loved to go on her computer to watch videos and read articles. Linda loved listening to Freddy Mercury and had an impressive collection of photos and books about him. She loved talking on the phone with her siblings; she and her youngest sister , Brenda would frequently talk for several hours at a time. Linda will be dearly missed by all who knew her.Linda is survived by her son, David Colin Brown, her sister Brenda Williams, her brother Aubrey (Sonny) Williams, a special niece Bonny Lamb, and several other nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by her husband Henry Crandol, her parents, and two sisters, Janice Hixson and Audrey (Joyce) Mingee.
A celebration of Linda’s life will be held at Angelo’s restaurant in Newport News VA on Saturday, June 10 at 2 pm.
