Linus Frank Braun (Lyn), age 86, of Virginia Beach, VA passed away peacefully and surrounded by love February 23, 2023.  He was predeceased by his son Michael Braun of Lexington, TN.  Left to cherish his memory is devoted wife, Carolyn McCulloch Braun of Virginia Beach, VA and his four children Tina Spencer-Mulhern of Sparks, NV, Mark Braun of Lexington, TN, Carol Braun of Palm Harbor, FL and Donna Braun of Virginia Beach, VA as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Lyn was a doting husband, supportive father and all-around family man. He was also a 20-year Navy veteran, serving his country in Vietnam, many tours of duty and several international posts as an aviation electrician.  He often spoke of Guam, which was his favorite assignment.  He was a lifetime member of VFW post 4809 in Norfolk, VA and was a past President of The Society of Maritime Industries.  Prior to a long struggle with Myelofibrosis he enjoyed long bike rides, lap swimming and walking. In his younger years he was an avid racquetball player and runner and an excellent bowler.  His friends describe him as “One of the good ones, the nicest guy.”
