October 23, 1945 - March 28, 2019

Chesapeake – Lloyd “Buggs” Lester Hermes, 73, passed away at home on March 28, 2019. Lloyd was born in Cape Charles, Virginia to the late Sherman S. and Lois Budd Hermes. Lloyd was predeceased by his wife, Jessica; brother Sherman “Sonny” Hermes; and sisters Anabelle Peck, Shirley Kemp and Sandra Cutrer.

Lloyd was a long-time employee of BAE/NORSHIPCO.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters Jennifer Hermes and Erin Del Vecchio; grandchildren Taylor Foreman, Amber Francis and Luke Del Vecchio; a sister, Sonja Harcum and husband, Cliff, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Cremation Society of Virginia is handling the arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the Sentara Hospice House or Alzheimer’s Association Southeastern Virginia.
