Luciris Fisher, born on September 24, 1982, in New York, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2025, in Newport News, Virginia, at the age of 42.
Luciris served her country with honor and distinction as a Logistics Specialist in the United States Army, retiring as a SSG after 11 years of dedicated service. Her commitment to her work was matched only by her devotion to her family and her community.
A loving mother, Luciris cherished every moment spent with her beloved sons, Matthew and Ethan. She found joy and solace in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was enjoying a day at the beach, exercising, or visiting Water Country. Her generous spirit was evident in her regular contributions to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), reflecting her deep commitment to giving back to those in need.
Proud of her Puerto Rican heritage, Luciris celebrated her culture with pride and shared its rich traditions with her family and friends. Her warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Luciris is preceded in death by her mother, Maritza Negron. She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her devoted husband, Bradley Fisher; her sons, Matthew and Ethan; her sisters, Sally and Dayra Delgado; her father, Hector Delgado; and her large extended family.
Throughout her life, Luciris demonstrated remarkable strength and resilience, especially in her final days as she fought her battle with her illness so long and hard for her children. Her courage and love will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
