Martin Etheridge Poole, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2023, at the age of 88. He was born on January 17, 1935, in North Carolina to the late Raymond S. Poole and Mary Elizabeth Abrams Poole.
Martin had a fulfilling career, having served dedicatedly in civil service before retiring. In addition, he was a proud business owner of an HVAC company. His hard work and commitment to excellence were evident in all his endeavors.
Martin’s faith held a special place in his heart. He was a charter member of Hyde Park FWB Church and faithfully attended Bethany FWB Church. His devotion to his church community was a testament to his unwavering belief in God.
He is preceded in death by his brothers, R.S. Poole Jr. and Hillary Poole (Phyllis), as well as his sisters, Virginia Carter and Katherine Young (Richard). Martin leaves behind cherished memories with his wife of 67 years, Mavis Alexander Poole, his daughter Rena Poole Clark, and his granddaughter Brooke Clark.
Services for Martin Etheridge Poole will not be held at this time. The family appreciates the love and support during this difficult period. May we find solace in the memories we shared with Martin and cherish the legacy he leaves behind.
