Mary Theresa Williams, born in Newport News, VA on December 26, 1950, passed away peacefully in her home in Virginia Beach, VA on September 16, 2021.  Theresa was a lifelong resident of Hampton Roads, VA, although she lived in Hollywood, CA for a few years, she was also a retiree from the Newport News Sheriff’s Department.  After her retirement in 2002, Theresa enjoyed gardening, going to the beach, and spending time with her five grandchildren, Felix (19), Sebastian (14), Emma (13), Gauge (11), and Atlas (3).  Theresa loved animals, big and small.  She especially enjoyed becoming part of the WildEarthTV and South African safari game drives where she acted as moderator in many of the online communities.  It was a dream of hers to visit Africa and aid in wildlife conservation, so having the opportunity to make friends and experience live drives was a true joy to her.  She made numerous friends from across the world.  

Theresa is survived by her sister Jo Schmid (Charlie) of St. Petersburg, FL, her son Joshua Becraft (Jessica) of Virginia Beach, VA, and her daughter Erin Arsenault (Michael) of Newport News, VA, as well as her five grandchildren, nephews and nieces, and many friends.  Theresa was a beautiful, kind soul who loved fiercely.  She is terribly missed by all who knew her.
