Chesapeake, VA – Mary V. Mosser, 99, of 1508 Volvo Pkwy, Chesapeake, VA died on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 with family.

Born on August 11, 1922 in Keyser, WV. She was the daughter of Clareance (Ken) Stanley and Sara (Ruth) McGraw.

Mary graduated from Keyser High School. She married Daniel “Bud” Mosser and had two children, Ruth Elaine “Ruthi” (Raymond Murray) and Daniel Owen (Doreane). Her lifelong interest was preserving her Irish heritage and celebrating the traditions along with collecting her diverse array of angels. Mary was a homemaker, a loving mother and a spoiling grandmother. She belonged to TOPS, the 49er’s, the VFW Auxiliary and prided herself in being a lifelong member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Keyser, WV.

Mary enjoyed travel; she loved the beach and going to the cabin at Deep Creek Lake. She truly loved living in Keyser and her lifetime of close and cherished friends; Leota Fisher, Pearl Tasker, Maude Thompson, Liza Taylor, Sandy Matthews, Virginia Woy, Gerry Shaffer, Shirley and Billy Jackson. We thank them all for her joy in spending endless hours with them – along with many others that were such an important part of her life. She loved reliving those memories in the tales she would tell her children, grandchildren and friends met along the way.

Mary, wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend was survived by her grandchildren: Dirk Murray (Christy) and Brad Murray, both of Chesapeake, VA, Daniel “Sean” Mosser (Tiffany) of Martinsburg, WV and Eric Mosser of Vail, CO; and brothers: Owen Stanley (Judy) and Robert “Bobby” Stanley. Along with cherished great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins plus multitudes of extended family members.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary United Methodist Church, 233 South Mineral Street, Keyser, WV 26726.
