It is with heavy hearts that we announce the transition to Heaven of Mike Lewis who went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 2, 2026. Born on October 31, 1962, to the late Henry and Dorothy Lewis in Newport News, VA. A life time resident of Newport News ,VA Mike graduated from Warwick High School in 1978. He went on to own his own commercial painting business and later worked for White Custom Painting until illness forced him to retire early in 2025. Mike is survived by his son, Zachary Lewis, his sister, Kathy Caskie (Joe); one nephew, and four nieces, all residing in Hampton and Newport News, VA.

Mike was loved by everyone that knew him and will be remembered for his great sense of humor, always making people laugh and lifting their spirit- being sad around him was never an option. Mike was a man of faith, a former member of Faith Baptist Church in Hampton, VA, and we are confident he is now rejoicing in Heaven with Jesus and his family who went before him.

A memorial and celebration of life will be held at a later date.
