She was born on September 22nd, 1959 in Newark, NJ. She lived there till she turned 4 years old, then moved to Plainfield, NJ.

She attended Clinton, Hubbard, and Plainfield High School.

She met Clarence Walton in 1978 and had three children; Nannette, Shionda and Clarence. They separated in 1983.

 In 1985 Mildred met Wayne Armstrong; and married in 1986. After many years went by, they divorced.

In 2005 she moved to Piscataway, NJ with her late father (Barnince J. Ellison) and daughter Nannette Q.Ellison Where they resided until 2012.

 Mildred was a resident of Hampton, Virginia from 2012 until her passing.

Mildred enjoyed going fishing and playing pool. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends including her neighbors and fishing family.

Mildred gained her Heavenly wings on December 20th, 2025. She happily joined her mother, Assie Robinson-Ellison, her father, Barnice J. Ellison and her sister, Diane D. Hairston.

Mildred leaves behind her three children, Nannette, Shionda, Clarence and a daughter from another mother (Shermia). Nieces, Adona and Diona. Nephews, John (T.T.), and Brandon. God sons, Mark and Tirrell. God daughter, Dawn Linton. Grandkids: Asiyah, Daisja (D’Ario), Deyonte’ (Jada), Kavon (Amaria), A’Nesah, Kaiden (Miesha), Ke’lin, Kamir, Mya, Kayman, Elijah, and Eon. Three Great-grands: Jayla, Kylee, and Kalani. A special family member, Chris Ray and a host of friends and family.

Mildred will always be cherished and loved by all who knew her.
