Nancy Huber Jolemore of Norfolk, Virginia, passed away on January 23, 2026. Nancy was born on December 14, 1952 in Baltimore, Maryland, to Robert Lee Huber II and Ellen Virginia Byrnes Huber. She was the third of eleven children who grew up in Baltimore, then Richmond and in the Larchmont neighborhood of Norfolk, Virginia.
Nancy was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Arthur Jolemore, newborn twins David and Daniel, her parents, her brothers Robert and James Huber, and her sister, Katherine Huber. She is survived by her three children, Ananda Southard (Chris) of Carrollton, Virginia; Brian (Gina) of Garden Valley, California; and Amena Tullock (Richard) of Norfolk, Virginia.
Her beloved grandchildren are Jasper McEwen (Ryan), Dakota Smith, Nolan and Lyra Southard; Daisy and Hazen Jolemore; Landon and Ava Tullock; and Arianna Piel (Christian); her seven surviving siblings are Marian Huber (John Blandin) of Palmyra, Virginia; Barbara Price (Donny), William Huber, Mary Turner (Jeff Hinkle), all of Norfolk; Thomas Huber of Virginia Beach; John Huber (Louise Coldwell), of Hampton; and Elizabeth Huber of Virginia. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Nina Scardino Coe; her brother-in-law, Stephen Jolemore.; and her sister-in-law, Nancy Ann Jolemore Karcher.
Nancy graduated from Blessed Sacrament Catholic grade school and from Norfolk Catholic High School in 1971. Nancy received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Old Dominion University. She enjoyed a fulfilling career as an English professor at Tidewater Community College.
Nancy had the best dry-witted sense of humor. She loved reading, crossword puzzles, music and politics. Crocheting was a loved hobby and she made exquisite gifts. She was passionate about writing and created many fascinating short stories that we felt honored to read.
