Born July 3, 1945, Pearl Holley Hunt, of Chesapeake, passed away on October. 19, 2025. She was predeceased by her parents Richard A. Holley and Rose M. (Watson) Holley and by her sister Marie A. Robinson. Survivors include her beloved daughter V. Nicole Hunt Eze, brother Edward Holley (wife Gwendolyn DDS); sister Marcia Dodson (husband Kent); and nieces and nephews.   She was a graduate of Crestwood High School and Norfolk State University, where she pledged the Epsilon Theta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Incorporated. She retired after 42 years as an English teacher for Chesapeake Public Schools, mainly Indian River High School. Her tenure there included SCA sponsor, yearbook advisor, SOL tutor, Teacher of the Year, and English Department chair.  Ms. Hunt was a member of River Oak Church, Chesapeake, for more than 10 years where she facilitated several classes for Women’s Ministry.

A memorial service date and location will be announced. Cremation Society of Virginia is assisting the family.
