Jim, Suzi and Martha "Poppy" left a message on June 20, 2024:
“Uncle Bud” with love from Suzi, Martha and Jim Uncle Bud was married to our father Jim’s sister Louise. Our family moved to California in 1959, so we didn’t get to see Uncle Bud and Aunt Louise very often. Our early memories of Uncle Bud are that he was always smiling, had an infectious laugh, and was kind and thoughtful. As we grew up we got to know more about Uncle Bud, his education and career and military service. Jim’s memory of Uncle Bud: I remember how emotional he was talking about his relationship with our father Jim. Bud had so much love for his family and friends. Suzi’s memory of Uncle Bud: Around 2011, I spent a week on the beach in So Padre Island with my Dad and Uncle Bud. The two of them were like young boys together. We laughed and talked a lot. I am grateful for that time we spent together. Martha’s memory of Uncle Bud: In 1981 when I was driving across the country, I stayed with Uncle Bud and Aunt Louise at their home for a few days. I was overwhelmed with how they embraced me as part of their family, even though I had few memories of them. They shared with me some special memories about many generations of the Poppy family. We’ll miss you Uncle Bud.
