Raymond F. Botti, 91, of Chesapeake, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, February 25, 2026, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on August 22, 1934, in Athol, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Frank Paul Botti and Dorothea Maude (Bell) Botti.
Ray served his nation in the United States Navy and in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he began a long and devoted career at the General Electric Company in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, where he worked for more than 25 years before retiring in 1997.
In his spare time, he enjoyed painting, making stained glass, fishing, and playing Cribbage.
Raymond is survived by his children: Anthony R. Botti and his wife Theresa of Summerville, South Carolina; Brenda M. Botti of Winchendon, Massachusetts; Lisa A. Drouin and her husband Michael of Chesapeake, Virginia; and Christopher B. Botti and his wife Simone of Daytona Beach, Florida. He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Danielle Richard, Amy Moury, Maria McCaffrey, Matthew Botti, Donald Cloutier III, Samantha Drouin, and Abigail Drouin; and eight great-grandchildren: Rebeckah, Tanner, Elise, Lindsey, Owen, John, William, and Olivia. He also leaves behind several beloved nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Louise D. (Bosworth) Botti; his twin sons, Wayne F. Botti and Warren L. Botti; and his sister, Janice Carolyn (Mailloux) Paquin.
