Richard A. Gray, 61, passed away on October 27, 2021.  Left to cherish his memory are sister, Diane Payne (Ron), and brother, Robert Gray Jr (Judy); nieces, Ashley DaVanzo(John) and Holly Corcoran, nephew, Robert Gray III (Amanda), great nieces Katie and Ellie DaVanzo, and Addison Gray.  He is also survived by his beloved dogs Jagger, Jeb, Samantha and Chase.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the ICU team at Sentara Princess Anne hospital for their care and support.

I absolutely loved Ricky. He has been my friend since 1990, and he has always been reliable, lovable and an all out a great man. I am deeply saddened to hear of his death, and I am kicking myself for not turning onto Blackwater Road, every time I road down Mt. Pleasant to Virginia Beach from Chesapeake. Life is too short, to not take that right and go say hi. My heart aches for the loss of a super great friend, brother, son, uncle, etc. I am sincerely sorry for all of our loss.

Truly devastating,I spoke with him that very night.I can honestly say Ric,was one of the hardest working man, I have ever known,always up at the crack of day,played with his 3 besties Poo-bear,Ellie-may,and one of there pups Jaguar,and then out the door he went,often not returning till long after the sun had gone down.He was truly an amazing person,huge ❤️,and always ready to jump to the aid of a friend.I loved him then, Always will! Ric I am at a loss of words,knowing the phone won't ring ,and your voice won't be on the other end. I would see you again hon,on the other side.Look for me,as I will you.....
