I will surely miss seeing Dick around the course. I remember the very first time I golfed with him, he barely said a word other than the initial invite, “tee-it-up” followed by a few grunts if I hit a decent shot. His conversations improved with each round we (Dick, Dave and I) played and my game improved just from watching how relaxed he was when he hit the ball. It was a pleasure to know him. Here’s to teeing it up on the fairways of heaven!

Oh Dick, I will miss you more than you know. Playing golf at Sewells Point knowing that you are not there will never be the same. Miss you, Buddy!

I consider myself fortunate to have had the opportunity to know Commander Carlson and learn about his honorable service to our country. He was a truly admirable and accomplished man.
