He is predeceased by his mother, Jacqueline Harrison and father, Richard Trotter, Sr. He is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Linda; his daughter, Dawn Trotter; his sister, Earlene Meder (Donald); his 3 brothers, William Trotter (Bill Smoot), Rex Harrison (Betsy), and Charles Trotter; and his nephews and nieces, Rex Harrison Jr. (Wendy), Jessica Timperley, Robert Lambert, and Elizabeth Lambert and their families. He is also survived by extended family members and special friends including, cousin Deborah Bevan (Carol Levine), Barry Cruthers (Sharon), Tammy Willcox, Jo Anne Hodapp, Diana Bennett, Kelly Chou (Hank) and family, Jacob Bennett (Eve) and family.

After graduating from high school, Richard went on to start a family. He retired as a tradesman in construction. Richard was witty, caring, and kind. He loved his family and friends, food, football, and a good joke. Richard will be missed more than words can say.

His wishes were to be cremated. Due to current social gathering restrictions, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Family and friends will be notified. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in his memory to the American Heart Association.
