Richard Eugene Franklin
September 23, 1954 - March 28, 2020

Richard (Rick) Franklin passed away after a long illness.  Left to cherish his memory are his wife and high school sweetheart Kathy Franklin, six children, Greg Faust (Kristi Kotvun), Robert Franklin (Stefanie), Derek Lang (Mary Anne), Matt Lang (Melissa), Holly Gansauer (Andrew) and Stuart; and grandchildren Jacob Faust, Rhett Franklin, Hunter Franklin, Lyla Franklin, Madison Lang, Dehlia Lang, Aric Lang, Matt Lang Jr., Miranda Lang, Colton Gansauer; along with 2 sisters and a brother; and many nieces and nephews.  Preceding him in death were his parents D.W. (Don) and Mary Frances Franklin and his beloved Nanaw and Pappaw Riley.

Rick loved the outdoors and his favorite DC sports teams were the Nationals and Redskins.  His wishes were to be cremated and ashes scattered at his favorite fishing spot.
