Robert (Bob) Baines, Sr., 86, of Newport News, died February 7, 2019, surrounded by family. He is survived by wife, Sherry; four children; two step-children; sixteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Bob was a proud U.S. Marine Corps  veteran having served in Korea and Vietnam.

He was active in the Newport News Moose, American Legion Post 25, and a Lifetime Member

A Memorial Service will be conducted 2 p.m.Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the American Legion Post 25, 7609 Marshall Avenue, Newport News, VA  2365 (behind the old Newmarket movie theater).

Cremation Society of Virginia-Newport News assisted the family with their arrangements.
