Virginia Beach ~ Robert Charles Corcoran (Bob), born in Galesville, Illinois and raised in Norfolk, Virginia, was a brilliant, honest, and compassionate father, husband, and friend.
He leaves behind his wife of 36 years, Cynthia (Cindy) Corcoran, his daughter Nancy, his son Chip Sawyer, and his beloved grandchildren, Nola and Oliver.
Bob was a college graduate, writer, and cab driver; social, eloquent, and entertaining, he made friends everywhere he went. Additionally, he served his country as a Marine during the Viet Nam war.
In lieu of flowers, your donation may be directed to Mennonite Central Committee, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and United Way of Southeast Louisiana.
