Robert "Taz" Tasnady

January 13, 1959 - February 28, 2024

He leaves behind his wife of thirty-six years, Ina Tasnady; his daughter, Tracy James; son, in-law, Justin James; sister, Karen Uhlig of Ohio and five grandchildren, Tiger Diaz, Shalyla Pacheco, Victoria Pacheco, Robert Pacheco, Hayden James, and many nieces and nephews.

Taz was a native of Dover, New Jersey and moved to Hampton, Virginia in 1985 where he worked Scallop boats for several years, then returned to being a certified automobile mechanic and State Inspector for over twenty-five years at
Guarantee Auto in Newport News, Virginia.

Taz loved his family, friends, dirt racing, motorcycles, and his pets. We can’t say enough about how much you will be missed and will think of you every day. We love you so much.

Cremation Society of Virginia-Newport News assisted the family with arrangements.

Robert was my grandfather, he’s been such an amazing man all of my life, I’ve always felt connected to him because he’s the one who cut my umbilical cord when I was born. That man made sure to help whoever he can and make sure everyone had a smile. I love you so much poppop and will always miss you.
