Robin L. Roark was ushered into Glory on December 18, 2025 at the age of 89.
Born and raised in eastern Tennessee, he graduated from Elizabethton High School before receiving his undergraduate degree from Oklahoma Baptist University. He completed his Master’s degree in Music at the University of Southern California. In 1963, Robin and his wife moved to Hampton, VA to take a position as Minister of Music at Liberty Baptist Church.
In 1968 the family moved to Williamsburg where Robin began working in the York County School Division for several years. During the next decade he was also involved with Colonial Williamsburg as a member of the Colonial Madrigal Singers as well as teaching voice at the College of William and Mary. He sang in operas both in the U.S. and in Europe.
During the 1980’s and after, he returned to church music ministry as well as becoming an entrepreneur. Even after retiring from his church staff position, you could find him and his family faithfully in services each Sunday. Robin simply loved to worship his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his devoted, loving wife, loving children, adoring grandchildren and beloved great grandchildren.
