Robin Renee (Martin) Lawson, 59, of Richmond, Virginia, was called home peacefully on July 24, 2020. She was born to Robert and Delores Martin on January 5, 1961.

She had a passion for art and spent a lot of time doing arts and crafts with her daughter which evolved into their shared love for stained glass. Robin used this gift to complete several church windows for her husband’s church, Saint Mary’s Catholic Church, in Coeburn, Virginia. She also loved to spend time with her great nieces and nephews at the river and enjoyed spoiling them on holidays. Robin was a Staff Accountant for KWC, formerly Biegler and Associates, for 19 years where she treated her clients like family and became great friends with her coworkers. She loved to travel with her husband and her family and took many memorable trips around the country and to Mexico. She will be remembered for her love and compassion for those around her and her willingness to help those in need.

Robin has been reunited in heaven with her mother, Delores, as well as her grandparents Ezra & Ethel Cundiff and Emmett & Lorine Martin. She is survived by her father Robert and stepmother Rena; her husband, Kenneth, his daughter Nicole and her children; daughter Amanda; brother Chris (Barbie); sister Karen; step siblings Susan and Bobby; as well as many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

We will be celebrating her life on August 11, 2020 at Waters Edge Church Yorktown, all are welcome to attend but we request masks be worn. Doors will open to guests at 10:30 am with service beginning at 11:00am. Robin’s favorite color was purple and she loved flamingos so please feel free to wear those in her honor and dress comfortably. Robin wished, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the church’s prison ministry. Donations can be made “In Memory of Robin Lawson” on the Church’s website, by check or on the day of her celebration to Waters Edge Church.
