Samuel “Sammie” John-Allen Jay, 29, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021. He was born on January 21, 1992, in Williamsburg, Virginia, to Robert and Alicia Jay.

Sammie was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Ruth Jay; two uncles, Timothy Case and Billy Jay and aunt, Brenda Jay.

Left to cherish his memories are his parents, Robert and Alicia; brother, Bryan Jay; maternal grandparents, Anne and James Cuyle; two nephews, Justin and Tyler Jay; uncle, Michael Case (Amy) and aunt, Marie Case.

Sammie had a very great heart and lived to be a kind and loving person. He will always be in our hearts and prayers and will be truly missed.

A memorial service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Friday, January 7, 2021, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 902 Denbigh Blvd., Newport News, VA 23602.

Cremation Society of Virginia-Newport News assisted the family with arrangements.
