Left to cherish her memory are her much loved daughter Karen Ann Boone and her grandson Grayson Thomas Boone, as well as, her brother Edgar Thomas Fox; twin sister Loretta (Sarge); her nephews Ronnie and Kenny; and nieces Cynthia and Delena.
Sandra graduated from Portsmouth’s Craddock High School in 1961. She retired from Atlantic Meteorology and Oceanography Center (Norfolk Naval Air Station) after 30 years of faithful service. She was a life-long member of Highland Baptist Church. Special thanks to her Wood Ave. neighbors for their help.
A celebration of Sandra’s life will be held at Highland Baptist Church, 3710 Deep Creek Blvd. Portsmouth, Virginia 23702 on February 16, 2019 at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the church. Memorial donations may be made to Highland Baptist Church.

Sandra has been a dear friend for 30 years. A faithful member of Highland Baptist church, who served on several committees, as a church treasurer and trustee. When she was able she was at the church whenever the doors were open, she loved her daughter and grandson dearly. She cared about me and my husband and always showed her concern and love to us in her calls and prayers concerning our family problems. I know she is in Heaven now and no longer suffering but I sure will miss her. She has been one of the best parts of our ministry at Highland Baptist church. Having lost both my parent in these last few months I feel for Karen and Grayson and know it will be hard. My mom and dad loved Sandra too and I know they are having a great conversation with her right now. They loved visiting with Sandra at church as well. We love and will miss you Sandra
